Kinetik employs a Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism to secure the network and facilitate efficient transaction processing. DPoS is a variant of Proof of Stake that introduces a layer of delegation, allowing token holders to vote for a select group of nodes to validate transactions and produce blocks.
